Corporate social responsibility is a vital ingredient in the operations of many businesses and organisations. Prins goes the extra mile by actively seeking to reduce our carbon footprint and our impact on the environment. We feel this is nothing less than our duty and step by step we are working towards a better world.
Transport and warehouse
We operate from our own logistics centre in Amersfoort. From our warehouse here, we supply castings and forgings to our customers from stock. This means that the products are immediately available for our customers and it also minimises the number of transports of the products both towards our customers as well from partner countries such as China or India.
Sustainable packaging
To deliver our products, we use Euro pallets with wooden collars. These pallets and collars are reused via the Euro Pool packaging system.
ISO 14001
The requirements for environmental management systems used by organisations to improve their environmental performance are specified by ISO 14001. Prins Castings & Forgings systematically uses these international standards in order to manage its environmental responsibilities, boost the firm's green reputation within the chain and embed environmental policy into our general business strategy.
Solar panels
Prins' premises in Amersfoort are equipped with 2.200 solar panels, making us completely self-supporting. As we are not connected to the gas grid, we are completely emission-free. Naturally, we operate strict waste-reduction and waste-separating processes and our company clothing is manufactured from recycled materials. After all, every little bit helps.
