Account manager France

I graduated as an engineer eight years ago, which means I have a technical background. Having spent several years working as an engineer, it was time for me to switch to a sales position, although I wanted to remain within my field of expertise. I found the ideal opportunity at Prins, where my technical knowledge is not only useful but, in fact, essential for the job that I do.

As account manager, I am responsible for various accounts in France, as well as several accounts in Spain and Belgium. I serve as the point of contact for customers throughout the whole process, and address issues like delivery times, product quality, prices and the service we offer. In addition, we help customers to find ways of improving products via our cast and moulded solutions. This involves sharing ideas with customers and offering creative solutions. We like to see the production process when visiting a company. What are the challenges and what are the targets? These insights help us to offer customers better and more effective ideas and advice.

We believe it is important and rewarding to help companies that serve an important role within society. Our customers also transport goods by road and rail, and thus help to produce components for infrastructure projects. It is nice to play a role in this by ensuring that the right components are delivered on time.

I am in regular contact with my colleagues in Amersfoort. My motto is: “It is a team job”. Because, even though I have first-line contact with companies in my region, matters such as R&D and the back-office are organised centrally in the Netherlands. That is why I certainly try to visit the Netherlands every two months in order to see and speak to colleagues in person. And that is not the same as only online contact or contact via the phone.

When not working, I like to be outdoors and active. I play volleyball, and also like walking and skiing. I also live in really nice surroundings in Brittany, on the west coast of France. And it is fantastic to walk along the coast. If you are not yet familiar with the region, the visit will definitely be worthwhile.
