Logistic & Warehouse Manager China

As logistic & warehouse manager I am responsible for the complete logistic process within Prins China. Since 2010 I am operating the so called Logistic Test Centre in Ningbo. From the moment our colleagues have finalized the inspection of goods, our logistic process starts. From goods receipt, packing optimization, ERP administration till the loading of the container itself, which we do all by ourselves. In this way we can guarantee the optimal loading capacity but also eliminate transport damage. Our warehouse mainly operates as a cross dock center. It’s always the challenge to ship the goods FIFO and Just in Time. 

The nice part of my job is that we are at the end of the supply chain, and that makes it possible to almost always satisfy everybody after a successful delivery. All stakeholders such as suppliers, buyers, inspectors, and forwarders and in the end of course also our end customers will be happy.

I have always worked in the logistic industry. My previous jobs where also in logistics at international companies. When Prins in 2010 was looking for a warehouse manager for a new to be established warehouse it was the perfect opportunity for me. I was challenged to put my knowledge into practice for this project. All had to be built from the ground like all the processes had to be designed. During the years we have of course optimized all processes more and more. 

During the week days I stay on site at our warehouse. In the weekends I go home to my wife and two daughters to spend time together. Preferably we go to a nearby seacoast or to the park.

Prins is a great employer and I always get a lot of respect and freedom from both Chinese and Europe’s colleagues. The international character of the company with still short communication lines feels very nice. All colleagues within Prins are very professional which makes the work environment very pleasant and feels comfortable.
